I’ve been writing chemistry articles for the last few weeks to fill this Topic up a bit and one thing I’ve done a lot of is surfing the internet. What I’ve discovered is that there are a lot of very good chemistry websites out there.
From online magazines to basic outlines for school courses, from academic papers to spoof science and cartoons, there is everything you are ever going to need. I’ll be writing an article in which I will share my discoveries with my readers, but I wanted to use this bog to do something else.
What is the point of another website for Chemistry when there are already so many out there?
This is a question I’ve been asked by friends and relatives, and it’s a question I’ve asked my self. I have meditated on it recently and I think I’ve come up for a reason for this topic.
I am writing these articles in an attempt to explain simply to any reader the fundamentals and applications of chemistry. There are more technical websites with lots of equations and diagrams, but this isn’t one of them. There are websites aimed at school kids who are trying to pass an exam, this isn’t like that. I want to explain to the normal internet surfer what chemistry is and how it connects with their lives.
So you will find explanatory articles called for example: What is Inorganic Chemistry. But you will also find articles which explain the chemistry behind something in your life like: How does Aspirin work? Or The Effects if Caffeine.
If there is something you want to have explained in simple terms, or my explanations aren’t simple enough, just start a discussion and I’ll do my best.
Chemistry is all around you!
